i’ve always wondered. does he see out of both eyes? can he control them seperately? and beneath the facade of stereotype, does he actually know more than he lets on? i’ve met some intellegent people who act like everyone else thinks they should just to fit in or game them for personal gain. is he one of them? probably not but its fun to wonder.
I applaud his decision to leave the room. That was a desperate, fickle thing to do, and it was only done to get attention. She knows him well enough to know that it would garner negative attention.
The original Treading Ground comics were created between 2003 and 2011. As such, you'll find some unfortunate hallmarks of raunchy comedies of the time. These include casual misogyny, dubious sexual situations, insensitive edgelord humor and a character using the r-slur.
While these are not typically portrayed as positive, it's definitely not how I would write the comic today, and you should know that going in. That said, there's still a lot of good stuff here.
There's also some nudity. Consider the whole comic NSFW!

I’ll second that emotion. Where was he, anyway?
Nick
Presumably, The Home.

Would Rose start haggling if she was there? Then again, $3 would be a good deal if you have a bitchy girlfriend you want to get rid of.

Jesus christ, every time I see that wandering stare I get really weirded out. How the hell does a fictional character weird me out in a web comic?

You mad a’ me?
Truthfully, the secret of the creep-out is subtlety. His wall-eyes are in that uncanny valley of, “close, but inexorably wrong And broken.

How absurd! I don’t know how anyone isn’t as offended as I am!
I mean, come on. She’s at least worth five bucks.

To quote COD: Modern Warfare 2…
“HOW MUCH IS SHE WORTH?”
(and “Bambi!”)

Even PURVOUS knows her family history — because now HE’S haggling “price”!

haHA! Go Purvous! Get Some!
Demus
No woman can resist Purvous’ manliness.

as the adman said in Robocop… “I’d buy that for a dollar!” Though Rose would probably be worth more like $4

Bravo! Always love to see Purvous in the comics.
I’m gonna be odd and ask where the brick background came from
Nick
It’s a monochrome tone I picked up a long time ago with a buttload of coloring and adjusting on my part.

Hah, Callback is awesome!
Nice to see his Memory of rose is better.

Three dollars? Take him up on the deal, she’s bad news.

Any chance we are going to see a printed version of the comic by the end of the year?
Nick
Highly doubtful that I’d have a book out, but I will definitely have some form of merchandise available, and hopefully prints for sale.

How come all the characters look as if their pupils have dilated…?
Nick
It’s dark where they’re standing, so you can’t see the color of irises that well, and pupils dilate in areas with lower light anyway.

*Poorly Timed Purvous* could be an additional frame in future Purvous-related comics.
